In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Irvine; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11:30 am–3 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Cheaply made. The crispy on top of tempura smelled and old and smelled fish. Been to a lot of places for a place in LA the table was dirty, the menu had sauce all over dirty. Disgusting. It was empty only 4 tables used. Smelled.

The sushi was fresh and tasted good, but I was disappointed by the limited selection offered with the $27.99 lunch special. Considering the price, I expected a wider variety and better overall value. If you're looking for a restaurant that specializes in sushi, I don't think this would be my first choice. However, the shabu-shabu looked much more impressive. The quality and variety of the meats appeared to be excellent, making it a great option for meat lovers. I would definitely consider coming back to try the shabu-shabu instead of the sushi.

The highlight for me was definitely the Wagyu beef, premium beef, and lamb. The meat quality was amazing; tender, flavorful, and melted in your mouth after just a few seconds in the hot pot. We kept ordering more because it was that good! One thing I really enjoyed about Oishi is that everyone gets their own individual hot pot. It makes the dining experience so much better because each person can choose the broth they like. I picked the Tonkotsu broth, and it was rich, flavorful, and delicious. The quality of the ingredients was so good that I honestly didn’t even need dipping sauce; especially the Wagyu beef, premium beef, and lamb. The meat was flavorful on its own, and every bite tasted amazing. It’s nice when you can truly enjoy the natural flavors of the food without having to add anything extra. Besides the meat, they also have a great selection of fresh seafood, vegetables, sushi, fruit, desserts, and drinks all included in the price. Everyone in our family found something they loved. The service was friendly and attentive, and food came out quickly throughout our meal. Another big plus is the free garage parking, which made the whole experience even more convenient. The

This spot is fantastic for all you can eat Shabu Shabu. The beef was especially high quality and very tasty. The lamb had a bit more fat than I expected, but still enjoyable. The salad bar offers a great variety of seafood, vegetables, and appetizers. Service is quick, and the robot delivery adds a fun touch. Overall a five star experience.

Shabu Shabu on a cold rainy day hits different. High quality proteins, my own broth bowl, spacious dining room and tables, AYCE? Nothing compares. I'd come here over Mokoji and Broth anyday. For about the same price as the others you get Prime meats and SRF American Wagyu) unlimited, and vast buffet of sauces, SEAFOOD, and vegetables. For comparison Broth is 90% split pots cramped and poor service. Mokoji has Gen Z entitlement ridden service and gives you 2 slivers of carrots IF they have carrots. This is a true Hallmark of the Japanese Dining Standard. Service prompt, polite and not over bearing. I had the Tonkotsu broth which was rich and creamy. Out of the Choice beef belly, SRF eye of round, PRIME top blade, and PRIME tenderloin, the Prime tenderloin and choice beef belly were my top choices. soft drinks were cheaper than McDonald's and the beer was very well priced for the location and type of restaurant. The. Shrimp were the size of steak house prawns, plentiful fresh cut and vibrant vegetables at the buffet. A key indicator to food quality is the kitchen/prep area is open theater and visible to diners. I would drive the 55 miles past several other Shabu places to come back.
